About the Event

Members of the community and families who want to learn more about what supports a successful transition to school, and contribute to an effective transition for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children.

A community and family consultation to hear about the local challenges, success and what we know works to help achieve an effective transition to big school for our children. This consultation will inform upcoming workshops with Principals and Educators later in the year. The aim of the program is to increase knowledge and confidence of educators and families around transition to school, and to plan and implement activities, endorsed by the community, that will support a successful transition to school for our children. The program also supports positive relationships and communication between families, services, schools and the local community to support student engagement. We encourage you to attend this important consultation.

SNAICC – National Voice for our Children is the national peak body for Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander children, working tirelessly for the safety, development and wellbeing of our children and families.
